Outdoor Adventures (OA) is committed to providing fun, challenging and affordable wilderness-based experiences for the CI community. Through a variety of workshops, hikes and back-country trips, participants will learn the fundamental skills to safely enjoy the outdoors. Whether you want an exciting recreational activity, a chance to learn new skills, the opportunity to meet new people, or simply to take a break from academics, OA is for you!

The CI Waterfront Program at Channel Islands Harbor offers various instructional and safety classes in kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, and rowing. These programs may be instructional, recreational or competitive in nature to promote and encourage recreation to all campus and community members. The program is dedicated to promoting boating safety and education, and is partially supported through funding from the California Department of Boating and Waterways (DBW). The DBW funds boating facilities and boating safety education, and supports boating law enforcement in California. A portion of the equipment at the waterfront is provided by the DBW to enhance and teach boating safety education in California.
