Sailing is an exhilarating sport that is fun and easy to learn. With our diverse fleet of dinghies and some of the best instructors in the business, you will be well on your way to sailing across the harbor effortlessly. The sailing program is designed for youth who have little to no sailing experience, or for those who have moderate sailing experience and can use a refresher course. The course offers 28 hours of instruction in basic sailing theory and boat handling. Courses are composed of on-land sessions followed by on-the water practice sessions in Catalina 16.5 and Laser Picos. These safe and stable sailboats are the perfect platform to have your child sailing confidently with one or two other participants.
Sailing participants can work towards receiving their US Sailing Small Boat Certification while at camp. Participants must notify their instructor two weeks prior to camp for an Official Logbook of Sailing.* The Small Boat Certification is the first step in the US Sailing Certification process and can be upgraded as participants add to their sailing credentials by any US Sailing certified instructor across the United States. *Logbook requires an additional $12.00 fee.
