Through a partnership between the Research and Sponsored Programs and the Faculty Development offices we are organizing a grant writing retreat for faculty. This program is designed to share tools, and strategies for developing competitive proposals. To accommodate your busy schedules the program will be delivered in two parts that include:
Funding Your Ideas Through Competitive Proposals
Friday, September 10, 2010, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Broome Library
A presentation and discussion to cover funding sources, strategies and the framework for developing a competitive proposal. We will cover appropriate sections of a proposal and how you may make a compelling case.
Developing Your Ideas, Formulating the Outline and Drafting The Proposal
Saturday, September 11, 2010, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Broome Library
Unstructured and dedicated time for working with mentors to draft your proposals. Bring your laptops and ideas and we will provide you the tools and guidance in developing and writing the proposal.
Attendance at both days is not mandatory, you may attend the presentation session only; however, if you plan to take advantage of the Saturday session it may be beneficial to attend the Friday session.
