
Camarillo, Calif., April 12, 2007 – Two local children’s book authors will be part of the 2nd Annual Children’s Reading Celebration & Young Author’s Fair hosted by California State University Channel Islands University Library.
Greg Trine, author of the “Melvin Beederman” series, and Lisze Bechtold, author of “Edna’s Tale,” will speak and autograph copies of their books at the Children’s Reading Celebration & Young Author’s Fair on Saturday, April 21 in Malibu Hall 100 and 120 on the campus of CSUCI.
The event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is free and open to all children and their families. Parking is free. Follow signs to the event.
There will be a display of books created by school-age children from throughout Ventura County. Additional activities include story-telling by CSUCI students, art projects and a book fair.
The CSUCI Children’s Reading Celebration & Young Author’s Fair is sponsored by the CSUCI University Library, the English Program, the Ventura County Reading Association, Star in Education Foundation, and the Ventura County Office of Education.
